US Senator Charles E. Schumer announced that $18 million investment for Edwards Vacuum, a semiconductor dry pump factory, has been finalized for Genesee County. The funding is part of the National Defense Authorization Act, which includes a $2 billion CHIPS for America Fund aimed at reviving domestic semiconductor manufacturing. This project is expected to create 600 jobs.
